100 POLITICAL LEADERS STILL UNDER HOUSE ARREST IN KASHMIR

Kashmir:The detained leaders are still in the same condition since the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. The central government has kept them in temporary jails as a precautionary measure. At present, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has been shifted from the snowfall to the new government house. While still a hundred leaders are under house arrest in the valley.

After the removal of Article 370, the Central Government had placed the leaders of 100 political parties including former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti, former CM Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah in the temporary jails built in Jammu and Kashmir. Following the tweet of Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter, she has been shifted to another place while former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is still locked in the government guest house Hari Niwas. He has not yet complained of cold.

Around 100 political party leaders have been in custody since August 5 at their homes, including the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center, SKICC in Srinagar. The government is considering shifting all the leaders to the MLA hostel on MA Road in Srinagar due to the cold. According to sources, around 28 leaders are locked in SKICC, while others are in their homes.
