Srinagar, June 12: Islamic State banners were waved by protesters outside Jamia Masjid in Srinagar. The Pakistani and ISIS flags surfaced in Srinagar’s Nowhatta area again after Friday prayers. The incident happened after the people finished offering their Friday prayers. Some protesters even took to the streets and shouted slogans in favour of Pakistan.
According to eye witness, “these protestors were flagging Pakistani and ISIS flags before they were dispersed by the secuirty forces. Police used lathi charge to disperse off the mobs in the area.” However, another news coming in from North Kashmir’s Kupwara district stated that Separatist leader Shabir Shah held a rally after Friday prayers in the area and his supporters also were carrying Pakistani Flags.
In his earlier rally also, Pakistani flags were shown and he was detained after that rally.
