Srinagar, June 15: Srinagar police has filed FIR against vice president Hindu Maha Sabha Sadhvi Thakur against her speech made on April 12 in Haryana allegedly against Islam and Muslims.
According to a local news agency SHO Saddar police station on Monday filed a case under sector 153 (A) and 295 (A) against the speech in which she reportedly had said that Muslims and Christians be forcibly sterilized to stop their further population and that the idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses should be placed in Mosques and in Churches.
The complaint against Sadhvi was filed by former general secretary Jamiat-e- Alhadees Abdul Rahman Bhat.
Bhat in a written compliant before police and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar had stated that the remarks made by Sadhvi were highly offensive, derogatory, insulting Islam and outraging the religious feelings of Muslims of Kashmir, including different communities and also ignite communal conflict.
FIR under number 99/2015 has been filed against Sadhvi Thakur under section 153 (A) and 295 (A) Cr. P.C. 153 (A) relates to Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony. 295 (A) deals in Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.—Whoever, with deliberate and malicious intention of outraging the religious feelings of any class of citizens of India.
