GALLE, June 18 (Agencies): Pakistan won the toss on Thursday and elected to bowl in the rain-delayed first test against Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium.
Teams usually elect to bat first after winning the toss in Galle, but overcast conditions and a wicket that had been covered for two days, due to rain, prompted captain Misbah-ul-Haq to give his seamers first use of ideal conditions.

Play will begin at noon local time and the first session will go on till 1-15 p.m. The second and third sessions will also be shorter than standard, with 72 overs scheduled for the day.
