BARAMULLA, JUNE 30: Arrangements for the celebration of Digital India Week in district Baramulla were finalized here today in a meeting of District and Sub Divisional Level officers held under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah.
The meeting finalized the weeklong programmes to be convened at District, Sub Division and Tehsil level with effect from July 03 to July 07. The main function will be held at Sheerwani Memorial Hall Baramulla on July 03 in which resource persons from various Central, State Departments and Banks will aware public about various digitally provided services pertaining to their respective departments and institutions.
It was also decided in the meeting that Departments like R&B, Education, PDD, Social Welfare, Health, Rural Development, BSNL and Banks will organize awareness camps at District, Sub Division and Block levels. The camps will be capture in videos and photographs. Similarly, awareness camps will be held in all Degree Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools of district where students shall be given awareness about various services being provided digitally.
In the meeting different teams were constituted to monitor the celebrations and co-ordinate various activities while Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla will be the Nodal Officer at District level and Sub Divisional Magistrates were nominated as Nodal officers at Sub Divisional level. For uploading the photographs/videos on the website, District Informatics Officer (NIC) was nominated as Nodal Officer who will function under and overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner.
