ndia’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday wished Team India’s new captain Ajinkya Rahane all the success for the upcoming series against Zimbabwe.
“I feel very happy for Ajinkya. He is a sincere and hard working cricketer. I have always been impressed with his (rahane) commitment and dedication. I am sure he (Rahane) will give his best and give us a reason to be proud of him. I wish him all the best,” Sachin said.
The 27-year old is the first Mumbai cricketer in 15 years to lead the Indian team after Sachin Tendulkar.
On Monday, the selectors announced a second-string side for the Zimbabwe tour giving rest to MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina among others.
