Srinagar, Jul 6 : Accusing the state Congress of enacting a drama by offering support to PDP, senior party leader Abid Ansari Monday said four months aren’t enough to judge the performance of any government.
Ansari termed the new government in the state as the new beginning for the downtrodden and destitute, saying to mitigate peoples’ woes is the biggest priority for this dispensation. “It is a mere drama wherein the chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is being offered support by the state Congress chief. Fact is likewise NC and Congress too has turned frustrated without power in JK. Such statements are aimed to mislead the people of the state,” Ansari told .
The senior PDP leader added that both NC and Congress have been rejected out rightly by the people of the state during the state elections of 2014 and it is better for both the parties to wait till the six year term of this government ends.
Ansari said the biggest priority for the government is to end corruption, nepotism and partiality in the state. “The previous government did nothing but plundered the state with the both hands. What we are trying to do is to save the state from this chaos and anarchy,” he said.
He termed Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as the ‘mature’ politician, saying the state has been put back on track from the day the new government assumed office.(KNS)
