As the proposed meeting of Hurriyat leaders with Pakistan National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz in New Delhi has casted shadow over the talks with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval, separatist leaders Friday said that India’s “unrealistic approach” can’t stop them from going ahead with the parlays. Taking to KNS, Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that the meeting of its chairman Syed Ali Geelani with Sartaj Aziz has been scheduled for August 24 at 9:30 am at Pakistan house, Tilak Marg, New Delhi. “I got a call from Pakistan High Commissioner around 6:30 today. He informed that the Geelani sahib’s meeting has been scheduled with Sartaj Aziz sahib on August 24 at 9:30 am at Pakistan House, Tilak Marg. So Geelani sahib will be flying to New Delhi in an early morning flight on August 24 for the same,” Akbar told KNS. Geelani, as per Akbar, has thanked Pakistan High Commissioner for inviting him for the proposed meeting. Akbar added that Hurriyat (G) will go ahead with the talks and added that Geelani is going to convey an important message for Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif through Aziz. He added that talks between Aziz and Doval should go on and if India cancels them that would be their “unrealistic approach.” Hurriyat (M) chairman Molvi Umar Farooq told KNS that he is meeting Sartaj Aziz on Sunday after the reception hosted for him at Pakistan House, Tilak Marg. “I and my other colleagues will be flying to Delhi on Sunday itself and will meet the Pakistan NSA the same evening,” he said, adding that the nose and confusion created on their meeting with Sartaj Aziz was the result “Indian media’s sensationalism”. Democratic Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah told KNS that he will meet Sartaj Aziz come what may. ‘I am flying to Delhi tomorrow at 9:30 am and will participate in a reception at Pakistan House on Sunday at 6:00 PM. Thereafter will meet Sartaj Aziz sahib,” he said.
