Srinagar, Aug 23: CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has said stalling of dialogue between India and Pakistan has caused huge disappointment among all those who are involved in strengthening peace process in the region.
In a statement issued here, Tarigami said cancellation of proposed talks between the National Security Advisors of India and Pakistan will only oblige those who want to undermine the peace process. He said the same will not only encourage but promote the fundamentalists and extremists of all hues on both sides of the divide to widen the wedge between the two neighbouring countries.
Tarigami appealed leadership of India and Pakistan not to fall prey to domestic partisan pressures and rise to the occasion and face the challenges which the entire region is facing by initiating composite dialogue process at the earliest.
