Kashmir is golfers paradise and our world class golf infrastructure is not only equipped to organise world class golf tournaments but also can groom our youth to become golfers of national and international standard “this was said by Secretary Tourism Farooq Shah in a concluding address of caddies golf tournament in Gulmarg which was organised with the support of Gulmarg Gondola, Gulmarg Development Authority and JK Tourism. According to a statement issued to KNS, the secretary while lauding the role caddies in promoting and preserving the golf as a sport stressed that we should try to utilise the existing golf infrastructure of Jammu Kashmir to attract golf lovers of the country and abroad, at the same time our youth should learn the game to choose it as a profession to earn name, fame and accolades as our youth are born with gifted talent in such sports. The secretary said that Honble chief minister has special place in his heart for Gulmarg and Pahalgam and we all have to work hard for realising his vision of establishing the Jammu and Kashmir as the best destination in the country. Farooq Shah said that we will ensure to keep our golfers, adventure lovers and rafters, mountaineers busy to utilise the unexplored potential for these activities in the state of Jammu Kashmir. The secretary Tourism distributed the prizes and mementos to the participants and winners in presence of CEO Gulmarg Development Authority, AD Tourism Gulmarg and other Tourism officers and officials.
