Former minister and chairman of Democratic Party Nationalist Ghulam Hassan Mir has expressed concern over not waving off 50 percent of loans to famers under Kisan Credit Card scheme by the government despite promising in the budget. In a statement issued to KNS, Mir asked government to either restart the scheme of KCC started by the previous government or fullfil the promises it made in the budget present in the assembly this year. “It is very sorrow state of affairs that farmers are made to suffer because of government indifference,” he said. Stating that farmers are already suffering because of weather vagaries, Mir said the government’s indifference has added to their worries. “I appeal govt to solve the issues of farmers,” he said.
