Secretary tourism Farooq Ahmad Shah Wednesday interacted with travel trade associations of Kashmir to get their ideas for promoting Kashmir for attracting more and more tourist influx from the domestic and international markets. The representatives of the travel trade put forth their suggestions and the secretary assured them of making J&K round the year destination. There was a two hour long brainstorming session and the secretary spoke about the future promotional strategies to promote the Jammu Kashmirs unexplored and existing tourism potential to make JK as the round the year destination, he asked the travel trade fraternity to support the efforts of tourism department to make the Jammu Kashmir as best destination in the country which is the dream of honble Chief Minister who is passionate to see Jammu Kashmir back in the national and international map as the best destination of the country. The secretary announced about holding of Kashmir festivals outside the state and inside the valley with a formatted calendar to showcase the festivity and celebrating culture of Kashmir. The representatives of TASK, TAAI, ADTOI, ATOAK, KHARA, KHAROF, PILTOP and other associations related to trade and travel, hoteliers, Shikarawallahs, houseboat owners associations and taxi owners associations.
