While expressing their complete faith and unshakable trust over the leadership of Geelani, all the organizations who attended the today’s meeting affirmed their resolve that the Hurriyat constitution will be protected and defended in every way and the freedom struggle will continue till the achievement of the desired goal. The meeting, as per the statement issued to KNS, held detailed discussion over the present situations and the opinions and suggestions regarding the future course of action of the members of the executive body were also thoroughly discussed. The advisory council strongly condemned the continuous house arrest of Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani from last 5 months and frequent house imprisonment of Shabir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan and cautioned that this government policy will increase the political uncertainty and instability in the state and the anger amoung the youths will further rise. While terming the role of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as deceitful and based on fraud, Geelani in his presidential address said that Mufti has bowed his head before the demands of BJP with regarding to the West Pakistan Refugees, Sainik Colony and isolated colonies for the Kashmiri Pandits like sensitive issues and both the parties have entered into an agreement over these issues. “Some face-saving decisions have although taken place like the returning of few small power projects to the state but it will be merely for show and its purpose will be to overshadow the dangerous policies of changing the demography of the state and to divert the attention of the people from the RSS agendas,” said Geelani. He termed this statement of Mufti Sayeed as ridiculous in which he had said that during his 7 months rule in Jammu & Kashmir there was no bullet fired on any civilian and police did no excesses with the stone palters. Hurriyat (G) Chairman said that Mufti had perhaps forgotten the coldblooded murders of the innocent and unarmed youths Khalid Muzaffar Wani of Tral, student Suhail Ahmad Sofi of Narabal Magam, Farooq Ahmad Bhat of Palhalan and unabated and excessive use of banned and lethal weapon like Pallet gun against the common people of the Kashmir in his very short span of rule. Geelani continued that the regime of 7 months of Mufti Sayeed have achieved many milestones in the atrocities and excesses. He said that in these 7 months the use of pallet gun have left hundreds of youths disabled for their entire life. During this period the youths and students of our nation were not only arrested but they were subjected to worst kind of custodial tortures in the police stations and interrogation centers and then in place of their release police used to demand hefty sums from their parents. These facts and figures are not hidden from anybody and by speaking the blatant lie, Mufti Sayeed made an unsuccessful attempt to hide and overshadow the worst kind of state terrorism and human rights violations going on in the state. While commenting over the statement of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that “gun is not the solution of any issue”, Hurriyat (G) Chairman said that he should teach this lesson to his masters in New Delhi who are holding this state due to that gun. Syed Ali Geelani said that every Kashmiri is opposed to the forced occupation of India in Kashmir and they openly express their inner but instead of respecting the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people, India is suppressing their peaceful voices with the help of gun and military might. He said that the youth of the Kashmir do not pick up arms for amusement but it is the natural reaction of the rigid and stubborn policies and arrogance of power of India. While terming the alcohol and other drugs as extremely harmful things for the human lives, Syed Ali Geelani said that liquor is sold under the government protection while as the drug abuse is spread under the patronage of government and the Indian army. Government proudly say that liquor sale bring millions into the kitty of government treasury. The liquor sale is a planned move to destroy our younger generation so that India can continue its forced and illegal occupation in Kashmir. The pro-freedom leader further said that our nation has offered countless and precious sacrifices for the freedom struggle and now it is the time to protect these sacrifices and it is the need of the hour. People should show united face and they should not take part in such activities which will harm or damage the freedom movement of Kashmir. At the end the executive body while commenting over the beef ban expressed their views that Muslims are followers of a divine religion and fixing of Haram (forbidden) and Hallal (legal) criteria is the authority of only Almighty Allah. No law or no system of the world can stop Muslims from having that thing which is Hallal for them and the Muslims can’t follow that decree or law which is against their religion.
