Hurriyat Conference (M) has welcomed the initiative of the former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary for organizing the Million Men March scheduled for October 25 outside the United Nations office in the United States. In a statement to KNS, Hurriyat (M) said the amalgam has appreciated this initiative in which members of the Kashmiri diaspora and Pakistani nationals are likely to participate in large numbers to attract the attention of the world body and the international community with the Million Men March. According to the Hurriyat (M) statement, for making the Million Men March a success, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary met senior leaders of the Hurriyat (M) (Azad Kashmir Chapter) including the Convener Tahir Masood, Syed Yusuf Naseem, Hassan-al-Bana and several others pro-resistance leaders. The Hurriyat (M) statement said Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary had elaborate discussion with these leaders and formally invited them for the Million Men March, which was accepted by the APHC (Azad Kashmir Chapter) leaders who extended their all-out support for the program. According to the Hurriyat (M) statement, the Million Men March is meant to attract the attention of the international community towards the resolution of Kashmir issue and also to highlight numerous cases of human rights violations carried by Government of India including imposing curbs on the political and religious activities of the Hurriyat leadership. The Hurriyat (M) statement said Government of India, with its brutality and tyranny, was pushing the freedom-loving people of Kashmir to the wall and the Million Men March was meant to attract the attention of the international community.
