Minister for Hajj, Auqaf and Horticulture, Abdul Rehman Veeri Friday informed the House that necessary arrangements for Muharram have already been put in place. The Minister was responding to the issue raised by Aga Syed Ruhullah during the Zero Hour in Legislative Assembly. Meanwhile, several members raised issues of public interest in the House during Zero Hour Friday. Usman Majid called for adequate security cover for politicians including ex-legislators, ministers which he has been reduced of late. He also called for restoration of the Sumbal-Bandipora-Gurez road. Rajiv Jasrotia called for formulation of a policy for procurement of crops in Kathua district. Raja Manzoor Ahmed demanded posting of tehsil Social Welfare Officer in Karnah. Ali Mohammad Sagar sought information from the Government regarding rehabilitation of the flood affected. Hakeem Mohammad Yasin called for taking adequate measures for destroying the bhang cultivation in Anantnag and Kulgam districts. He also called for releasing funds for augmentation of electric infra in Khansahib constituency. Devender Singh Rana called for immediate revocation of the service tax being leveled on the chopper services in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. Aijaz Khan called for filling up vacant posts of BDOs in his Gool constituency. Dina Nath Bhagat called for preparation of DPRs of the 14 roads being brought under CRF for sending the same to the Union Ministry. M. Y. Tarigami called for taking measures for ensuring adequate rehabilitation of the persons living in the border areas of the Sate. Yawar Mir called for absorption of NYKs in different departments. Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi demanded release of adequate funds for undertaking Muharram arrangements. Abdul Rashid Dar called for starting work on the Tujjarsharief Power Receiving Station besides taking adequate measures for ensuring proper dumping of waste in Sopore town. Ajay Nanda called for release of funds for completion of the grid station in Reasi. Choudhary Qamar Hussain called for setting up of new administrative units in his constituency. Bashir Ahmad Mir called for inauguration of new receiving station in his constituency Kupwara besides taking measures to arrest the decline in the rates of walnut kernels. Altaf Ahmed Kaloo called for starting work on the hospital already allotted in Pahalgam constituency. Vikar Rasool called for regularizing the services of NYKs and JEs/GRSs and other staff employed under MGNREGA scheme. Noor Mohammad Sheikh called for solving the drainage problems in Batamaloo constituency. Ravinder Raina demanded restoration and promotion of Channi-Parad, Pandav Mandir, Gandeh, Minkha Mahadev Mandir, Mangal Devi Fort, Mangla Mata temple and Sahibgarh Gurdawara in Nowshera constituency. He also demanded that these projects be taken up by the tourism department and sought intervention of Chief Minister in the matter. Sat Paul Sharma called for providing relief to the family of Chamail Singh killed in custody by Pakistan. Javaid Rana called for providing compensation to the people killed in the recent ceasefire violations in Magarkote and Balakote areas of district Poonch. Mohammad Yousuf Bhat called for construction of circular road in Shopian district. Devinder Manyal called for installation of new transformers in Samba constituency. Asgar Ali Karbalai called for providing relief to the orchardists whose apricot fruit got damaged recently. Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh called for waving off the Kissan Credit Card loans. He also demanded for providing compensation to the orchardists of Ganderbal district whose crops were damaged due to recent hailstorm. Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi demanded timely distribution of timber on concessional rates to the people of Dooru-Shahabad for construction of their houses. Shakti Raj Parihar demanded establishment of Doda Development Authority. Mohammad Amin Bhat demanded enquiry into the working of Rural Development Department in Devsar constituency. Shah Mohammad Tantray demanded addressing the water scarcity and other related PHE problems in his constituency. Mubarak Gul demanded shifting of the pediatric care unit of GB Pant Hospital to 30-bedded Mother and Child Hospital, Noorbagh.
