Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Wednesday assured the families of the two truck drivers who were who were attacked by petrol bombs in Udhampur last week that stringent action would be taken against the culprits. The chief minister today visited the injured truckers in Safdarjung Hospital to enquire about their health. “Stringent action would be taken against the culprits who were found involved in the attack,” Mufti assured the families. The Chief Minister was informed by the HoD and the team of doctors in the hospital that the patients, Showkat Ahmad Dar and Zahid Ahmad Bhat, are being treated for burn injuries and are receiving the best possible treatment in the hospital. Mufti was also informed that the patients have been shifted from ICU to the ward. He asked the doctors to extend best possible treatment to the patients to ensure their speedy recovery. The Chief Minister assured the family members of financial support required for treatment of their injured sons.
