Authorities have imposed curfew in Anantnag and Bijbehara towns in south Kashmir following protests by youth for three consecutive days over the death of one of the Udhampur petrol bomb attack victims Zahid Rasool Bhat. Relatives of Zahid said that police and CRPF are not even allowing mourners to visit the house of the victim’s family. “Police is not allowing the relatives, friends and other mourners to visit the house to offer prayers and condolences witht eh family,” Moulvi Ashraf tolf KNS. He said that he sent some students from his Darasgah to the house of Zahid “but police allowed only few of them.” Authorities have also imposed Section 144 was imposed in some areas in Srinagar in view of the 8th Muharram procession by Shiias. Police and paramilitary forces were deployed in the city to impose the restrictions.
