Call it fate or coincidence but on Monday afternoon when the accused duo of the acid attack of December 2014 were brought before the victim at lower court at Bemina here, all she said with welling in her tears was that “Allah will curse you.” While the hearing into the deadly attack was going on, in no time of her cursing the accused, the tremors rocked Kashmir. Everyone present in the courtroom rushed out of the first floor courtroom, and ran towards open. But those who were present in the courtroom said victim’s woes had got a response from the divine power. “These tremor are eye-opener for one and all,” the witnesses said. The poor girl who was pursuing her Bachelors of Law from Kashmir University was last year attacked by two car borne youth in Soura locality of north City. The arrested duo, who were brought to the court for hearing, have been identified as 23-year-old mastermind as Irshad Ahmad Wani aka Sunny son of Muhammad Amin of Wazir Bagh. The other one, his friend and business partner is perpetrator, 21-year-old Muhammad Omar Noor son of Noor Muhammad of Bemina. On December 11 they threw acid on her while she was entering her Law college. Since then the victim is living a miserable life as her face was melted down by the acid. Till now she has undergone around eight surgeries in Chennai and has to undergo more in the coming months while the PDP led coalition government is unwilling to bear the expenses of her treatment. Amid mounting miseries, the victim today spoke her heart out seeking divine justice, into the tragedy which has left her family shattered. “Allah will help us,” her father said while coming out of the court. Meanwhile the hearing couldn’t be completed due to quake.
