In Jammu and Kashmir, the Sang Parivaar and its affiliates (BJP, RSS, VHP and others) have a bigger game of to divide the state on communal lines,” he said while appealing people belonging to different shades of public opinion of all communities to rise above the occasion and unitedly resist the politics of polarization and hatred. “All shades of public opinion need to rise above sectarian considerations and communal polarization in order to safeguard the unity of the State and unitedly raise their voice against forces hell bent on to trifurcate the state,” he insisted. Tarigami said that the government at the helm in the state is wanted in its response to such a situation, and said that non-issues were being projected while as real issues concerning the common man were deliberately put to the back burner.
