Family sources told that Rehti Begum, 60, fainted as she couldn’t bear the news of Gowhar’s death.
The grandmother of slain Zainakote youth Gowhar Nazir Dar passed away after hearing the news of his death on Sunday evening. Family sources told that Rehti Begum, 60, fainted as she couldn’t bear the news of Gowhar’s death. Mohammad Inayatullah, a cousin of Gowhar, said that Begum was shifted to JVC hospital in Bemina after she fainted on Sunday. “We had just told her that Gowhar is not well. But when she pushed to check on him we had to disclose the news,” he said. She breathed her last at the hospital late Sunday, Inayatullah said. Police said that Dar, 22, an engineering student, died after a teargas shell fired by paramilitary CRPF men hit him on the head on Saturday. However, family members detest the police version by claiming that Dar was fired at point-blank range after he went out to buy milk.
