He said there was no need for people to be dejected and the international and regional situation was encouraging for the resolution of Kashmir. Mirwaiz later visited the residences of two martyred youth of Bijbehara, Nazir Ahmad Bhat and Adil Ahmad Sheikh, who were killed in a gunfight with Indian forces at Aishmuqam where he expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families. He said now it was the responsibility of the entire nation, people as well as the leadership, to safeguard these sacrifices and not rest until the movement reaches its logical conclusion. Mirwaiz said besides India, the pro-India parties of Kashmir were contributing to the oppression and suppression of the Kashmiri people as their only desire was to cling to power. He said they did not care anything about the people of Kashmir and were will to sacrifice them for fulfilling their nefarious designs.
