Jammu Kashmir tourism is promoting Daara Haarwan in Kashmir and Sanasar in Jammu region as an adventure tourism spots, this was said by the Secretary Tourism Farooq A Shah in a meeting at Jammu in which it was decided to send Director Tourism Kashmir and Jammu to Burbling Himachal Pradesh to study the eco Tourism model of the said place which can be replicated here as well. The secretary said the work in this direction has already started to make DPRs and other formalities are in process. Farooq A shah while giving details mentioned about the huge potential of Jammu and Kashmir state for attracting eco tourism and adventure tourism lovers which are considered to be the high end segment in the tourism sector and can have multilayered economic benefits to the state. He said that sanasar and Daara in harwan will be provided with all kinds of infrastructural support to turn them into international standard adventure tourism locations so that the adventure lovers from all over the world will throng these spots. The secretary also reconfirmed that jk tourism will go aggressively in the domestic market to promote varied tourism products and services of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh including the international standard Golf and conference Tourism facilities ,he said that 15 fifteen road shows will be organized in the country to showcase its immense unexplored tourism potential these road shows will be in addition to ten10 food festivals which will be organized in specific towns and cities across the country to attract maximum visitors to the state of Jammu Kashmir ,these festivals will be professionally organized to reach out to the majority of the relevant market segments which are important for Jammu Kashmir tourism. Farooq A shah added that the Jammu will emerge as an independent tourist destination and Jammu festival this year will be organized at a large scale as a mega show to showcase the rich culture tradition and heritage of Jammu.
