Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) president, Abdul Qayoom Wani on Wednesdaywelcomed the administrations order of transferring him to a local High school at his native Village, Tangmarg and said that he will continue to fight for the welfare of employees. Welcoming the order of administration of transferring him to Tangmarg High School, Wani said, “I am happily going to follow the administrative orders. I hope that the administration is not playing any game or politics with the employees by cancelling the attachments and transferring employees,” he said. While talking to KNS over phone, Wani said that the sudden change in the department indicates that something is fishy behind the order. “We (teachers) will jointly spoil the anti-employee intentions of administration who are putting their efforts to suppress the voices of employees working in the department,” Wani said. Wani told KNS that he will continue to fight against the department for the demands of employees, “Wherever the administration will depute me, I will continue with to fight against the department for the welfare of employees,” he said. He said that with raising several issues so far, the higher ups of the department have left teachers to lurch at large. “Despite the government formation is still on cards, the department is still running on the directions of former Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar. It is he who calls the shots,” Wani alleged. Pertinently, the state administration has cancelled the attachments of all government school-teachers, deputed with different schemes from past years. Officials in the department said the directions in this regard were passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra following which an order was passed by the Secretary, School education department.
