Baramulla, 18 March:District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal today inaugurated Apna Panchayat Ghar at Dangerpora village of Baramulla today. Team of Officers including Assistant Commissioner Development, Mir Munawar and District Panchayat Officer accompanied the DDC during the visit.
The Panchayat Ghar has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 20 Lakh. It was informed that the Panchayat Ghar has been constructed during a record time of one year only. Panchs, Sarpanchs and public gathering was present during the inaugural function.
Meanwhile, the DDC took a comprehensive review of the drainage system and water logging in the village. Directions were passed on to the concerned officer to repair any sorts of breakage or damage to the drains. The DDC stressed upon the fact that works such as lanes, drainage system and footpaths in the villages should be prioritized under MGNREGA, so that the people don’t face any sort of inconvenience.
The DDC also interacted with the various delegations of people during the visit and took an account of their issues and problems.
