In view to improve the Horticulture and Agriculture one day awareness programme was held in wadoora agricultural university in North Kashmir’s Sopore Town.
Farmers from the different areas and large number of students participated in the training cum awareness programme.
The motive of the programme was to strength the interaction of pest management with lead farmers, graduates, post graduate students and pesticide dealers.
On this occasion students said that these programmes should be organised on regular basis. ” These programmes not only create the awareness but also improve help in gaining more and more knowledge regarding the environment” said Irshad Ahmad a Bsc agriculture student.
45 year old farmer, Farooq Ahned Lone said that I am very happy to be part of this programme because I became aware about lot of things related to agriculture which will be beneficial for me.
While Another farmer who was happy with awareness programme suggested that these programmes should be held at village level also so that farmers can get benefit out of these programmes.
The chief guest of an hour was Dr Ghulam Mohammed was delighted the occasion and awared farmers about pesticides and new techniques which will be beneficial for the agriculture sector.
