Srinagar-22- March. Exposing the state’s oppressive and suppressive policy under which Kashmiri youth is being targeted, Senior Pro-freedom leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat today after leading a peaceful protest rally in press enclave Srinagar said that from past over 25 years Kashmiri youth are being implicated in baseless and fabricated cases.
Talking to media, Bhat said that state administration and security forces are arresting innocent Kashmiris just to muzzle the right democratic voice of Kashmiri youths.
He said that future of Kashmiri youngsters is being blemished by registering baseless cases against them.
Bhat said that those youngsters despite completing their detention period are being booked falsely and harassed on daily routine.
He said that they are being asked to attend police stations, army camps and even courts. Bhat said that unethical attendance in police stations and at camps of Indian forces have made the lives of peace loving Kashmiri youth hell.
Zaffer Akbar Bhat said that most of the times, Kashmiri youths are being booked under 7/25 , 7/27,151,107,307,302,148,332,121-A,120-B,212 etc arms Act and Indian forces falsely claim to have recovered arms and ammunition from them and are creating fear psychosis in Kashmir. He said that those booked under this Act have to face a lot of difficulties even have to spent crucial years of their youth hood in jails and have to attend courts and police stations.
Zaffar said that now a day’s outside state Kashmiri students especially Delhi, Kolkotta, Rajasthan, Bengal etc are being harassed and try to implicate them in baseless and fabricated cases which is highly condemnable.
He said that this whole process not only frustrates our youth but also deprives them from basic fundamental rights including right to education- and right to employment.
Slamming puppet authorities for anti-Kashmir and Anti-Youth oppressive policies, Zaffer Akbar Bhat urged pro-Kashmiri leadership to devise a joint strategy for safeguarding youngsters. He also asked international community including rights bodies to take a strong note of such cases and help Kashmiris.
Zaffer said that such oppressive policies have weakened the economic conditions of our youngsters while as they are suffering from fear psychosis and mental agony..
He said that a large number of youth who have been booked in baseless cases are undergoing mental depression that effect their family and social life.
