Govt forms 17-member panel for effective implementation of TAMEIR
Srinagar, April 01 (GNS): The state government on Friday constituted a 17-member monitoring committee for effective implementation of the Reconstruction Plan for Jammu and Kashmir State announced by the Indian Prime Minister.
The Rs 80,000 crore package reconstruction plan (TAMEIR) was announced by the Prime Minister on 7 November 2015 for JK, flood restoration works, centrally sponsored schemes and identification of new projects.
Headed by Chief Secretary, panel has been asked to provide guidance for immediate formulation of the Action Plans for execution of the Reconstruction Plan.
It has been also tasked to monitor the implementation of the projects, review the progress of the Reconstruction Plan on a monthly basis for time bound completion of projects, resolve bottlenecks or impediments, if any, in project implementation.
The Monitoring Committee can co-opt any other person, if required, at any given point of time. (GNS)
