Ganderbal, Apr 8: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir today launched a plantation drive at the varsity’s designated campus in Ganderbal.
Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir planted a sapling and highlighted the importance of trees in the contemporary world. He underscored the need of organizing more such drives in the campus in near future.
Director Research and Development, Prof. Muhammad Aslam, Registrar, Prof. Muhammad Afzal Zargar, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Gilkar, Director DSW, Dr. Fayaz A Nikka, Chief Proctor, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Shah and other officials of the varsity also planted saplings on the occasion.
CUK VC said the construction of the prefabricated buildings is going on at full swing and the academic activities of the university would be soon shifted to the Ganderbal campus.
