Srinagar, April 11: Congress party General Secretary Ambika Soni who is in Kashmir Monday said that nobody can be forced to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. She said that people can chant or say anything whatever they like and they can’t be dictated or directed what to utter and what not to say.
Talking to reporters in Srinagar, Ambika Soni alleged that a political party (BJP) tried to exploit the situation in NIT. “Why outsiders (BJP) are trying to enter into Kashmir to disturb peace here. What they want to prove. It is their government and still they are trying to reap benefits from the fragile situation here,” she said adding that NIT row is related to Jammu and Kashmir and it is the responsibility of the state government to take care of it.
Responding to a question, Ambika Soni said that Congress party wants to know what happened at NIT Srinagar and how it took the ugly turn. “Who incited the violence and who are the elements responsible for the mess? We want to know whether any political party is playing politics. Only Judicial probe can help us to know about the reality and facts. So Congress party demands judicial probe should be ordered to ascertain the facts,” she said.
She condemned the attacks on Kashmiri students outside Jammu and Kashmir and said that every student has a right to get education in any part of the country. (CNS)
