Srinagar, July 25 : Shiromani Kali Dal (Mann group) was Monday stopped by police at Lakhanpora in Jammu region while marching to the Kashmir Valley to show solidarity with the people after civilian killings by the forces.
Simranjit Singh Mann president of the group and his scores of supporters were marching from Punjab to the Valley. “But when we reached Lakhanpore, police did not allow us to move ahead to the Valley,” a spokesman of the group told .
He said that the group was marching to Kashmir to show solidarity with people of Kashmir who are forcing the atrocities of the forces.
He said that the group was to protest against the forces for killing about 50 civilians in the ongoing unrest.
The group deplored the police for foiling their attempt march.(KNS)
