Srinagar: Night temperatures across Kashmir continuously dipped below the freezing point with intense cold tightening its grip on the Valley.
The summer capital Srinagar on Thursday recorded the coldest night of the season with temperature dropping to minus 2.7 degrees Celsius.
An MET, official quoted that at minus 2.7 degrees Celsius, Srinagar recorded the coldest night temperature of this season so far. The minimum temperature was minus 4.0 in Pahalgam and minus 0.6 in Gulmarg today (Thursday).”
The present cold and dry weather conditions would continue in the state for the next 48 hours, the official said.
