Srinagar : The international youth day was held at the University of Kashmir on Monday. It was organised by Red Ribbon Club of Department of Students Welfare in association with J&K State AIDS Prevention and Control Society.
A poster-making competition, collage competition and blood donation camp were organised to mark the day whose theme was ‘youth building peace’.
Sanctorum college student brought laurels to the college by showcasing excellent performance in the painting competition organised by Kashmir University with this year’s theme “Youth Building Peace” on monday.
According to statement issued to Kashmir Despatch 80 students participated in the poster-making and collage competitions In which DPS Srinagar begged first postion, Nawa Kadal higher secondary begged second while Sanctorum college sopore begged third position.
Iqra Altaf B-eD first year student of Sanctorum college sopore begged third position for her painting dipicting Peace.
Sanctorum college sopore is continue with an aim to enhance personality development among students and infuse in them a taste for fine arts in order to bring the holistic development of young mind.
Meanwhile the statement further added that B Ed is not just a part time course as is understood by many. By participating in such events, we believe in complete exposure of teacher training process. In future we plan to send our B Ed students to every fest and competition not only in state but across country.
