SRINAGAR | NOV 15 :Vigilance Organization Kashmir today produced charge sheet in case FIR No 05/2014 u/s 5(2) of J&K PC Act Svt. 2006 and 4-A of Jammu & Kashmir Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2014 of P/S VoK before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Baramulla against government employee namely, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, the then Junior Assistant civil Investigation & designs PDC Sopore.
In a statement vigilance said that the brief facts of the case are that Vigilance Organization Kashmir registered a case on a written complaint alleging therein that the complainant was posted as Works Supervisor in Sub-Division Boniyar of civil Investigation and designs Division PDC Sopore and had been granted incentive promotion including his pay fixation to the present pay band. However, the arrears were not disbursed.
“Further he approached the concerned office several times for the release of his arrears which were denied on one pretext or another. And finally the in charge clerk namely, Shri Nazir Ahmad Bhat, the then Junior Assistant demanded bribe for the disbursement of his dues”, it adds.
Vigilance said that after registering of a case on the basis of complaint, the sleuths of vigilance organization laid a successful trap and the said public servant was arrested red handed while accepting illegal gratification. (PTK)
