Uri : A lady who was crossing a Nand Singh Bridge in Uri of northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday recieved injuries when suddenly a bridge plate fell into a nallah.
According to Kashmir Despatch correspondent a lady identified as Shakeela Begum wife of Rafakat Khasana resident of Kamalkote suffered injuries after a bridge she was passing got collapse, however she was rushed to Sub District Hospital Uri, where doctors reffered her Baramulla district hospital for advance treatment.
Local police in this regard has registered a case.
Nand Singh Bridge an alternative bridge which was constructed soon after NS bridge damaged in 2005 earthquake, however 12 years on the construction on damaged bridge is still incomplete due to the neglect attitude of authorities.
Meanwhile locals while talking with Kashmir Despatch correspondent said that Border Road Organisation gives them tough times as 12 years gone but NS bridge is still incomplete which indicates a mother steply approach towards us, while blaming BRO locals said that this might be the first case in kashmir where a bridge takes 12 years but is still incomplete.
Soon after the incident Sub District Magistrate Uri Dr Sagar Difored issued a notice to beacon organisation for redressing this genuine issue at earliest so that general public will not suffer more.
