Uri : Scores or people from different villages of Uri belt on Saturday hit the roads against BSNL authorities for not installing mobile tower.
According to reports different villages in Uri belt are still without mobile connectivity despite repeated approaches to the local administration as well as state government.
Reports said that on Saturday scores of people from different villages of Uri including Dardkote, Isham, Uroosa Govalta and Rawa Runda, Kamalkote took to streets to register protest against authorities for not installing mobile network towers.
Nadeem Akbar Abbasi a local resident told Kashmir Despatch that if government is claiming we are living in a digital world, but this a dream for we residents, he said that we are cut off from the rest of world with the non facility of mobile communication in the area.
However, Tehsildar Uri Mohammad Aslam after visiting the spot assured protestors that they will be able to excess mobile connectivity at earliest as already authorities had been informed regarding this issue.
Meanwhile when contacted representative of MLA Uri Dr Sajad Shafi told Kashmir Despatch that i am working on this genuine issue and already I informed Deputy Commissioner Baramulla In this regard, he however added that soon these areas will be able to excess mobile connectivity.
