Srinagar, Jan 14 : President EJAC, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir teachers forum Abdul Qayoom Wani castigated government of Jammu and Kashmir for not feeling the pain and miseries of teachers and masters working under SSA.
Wani said that though the government has promised to de link the SSA salary and to pay the salaries of teachers in time but unfortunately nothing concrete has been seen on the ground in this regard.
He said that i have personally discussed and taken up the issue of SSA salary with finance minster and all the other quarters from time to time and every time assurances were given for the streamlining of SSA salary but the promises made in this regard were not fulfilled as yet as a result our teachers have become worst sufferers.
He said that government is not feeling the pain of these nation builders. He said that most of the teachers are dependent on their salaries to meet out their day to day and domestic needs but the continuous delay has added to their miseries.
Wani said finance minster has assured that the salary will be de linked and we will pay salaries in time but the promise are not proven fruitful as yet as a result teachers are in mental trauma.
He said that these teachers are not in position to buy medicines for their ailing parents, can’t meet out their liabilities due to repeated delay in their salaries. Wani said that The teachers are in debited to different banks by means of loans under different heads and the teachers have to pay huge interests because of nonpayment of timely installments.
Wani said that the miseries of these teachers are not getting an end because the authorities have not taken the issue in a serious capacity. He said that government must come up with comprehensive measures to put a stoppage to the miseries of SSA teachers.
Wani urged upon the Finance minster, education minister, worthy secretary education worthy chief secretary and worthy Director SSA to take this human issue seriously and to take immediate steps for the streamlining of SSA salary so that the miseries of SSA teachers may end at an earliest. Wani said that if the government fail to resolve this human issue teachers forum has no option other than to hit out on streets.
