Sopore : Doctors at Sub-district hospital Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday hold two hours pen down strike after HDF employees allegedly thrashed a senior doctor during working hours.
Extending support and to condemn the attack on a senior doctor at Sopore Hospital, Scores of doctors under the leadership of Dortors Association President Dr Suhail Nayak staged protest demonstration against the HDF employees who as per them allegedly thrashed a senior doctor.
Reports said that the incident triggered protest by doctors at the hospital demanding action against the accused.
Meanwhile Doctors Association President Dr Suhail Nayak said that Hospital authorities must provide proper security to doctors on duty. We also demand action against the accused. He said that there should be a proper certification of all those HDF employees before appointed them. Dr Suhail allegedly that most of the employees working under hospital development fund are Vegabond type and are always creating problem to senior doctors he added.
Meanwhile protesting doctors later registered First Investigation report (FIR) against the accused.
Block Medical officer Sopore Dr Sami was not available for commits when Kashmir Despatch Contacted.
The attack on senior doctor was also condemned by Civil Society, Traders Federation and orther firms of town and demanded strict action against accused HDF employe.
