Two drug peddlers held, 08 Kg fukki recovered in Baramulla village

Baramulla : Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers 08 kg fukki was recovered from their possession in north Kashmir’s Baramulla village.

Police In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch said that a naka was laid by Kreeri Police at Watergam crossing and during vehicle checking a four wheeler Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05 A 1637 was intercepted and during search 08 Kg of contraband substance (Fukki) were recovered from the procession of two persons.

Statement reads that a case FIR number 49/18/U/S 8/15 NDPS act registered and further investigations has been initiated.

Police statement further reads that the duo drug peddlers were later identified as Tawseef Ahmed Bhat son of Abdul Hamid and Showket Ahmed Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat both residents of Kalantra.

It is pertinent to mention here that Baramulla Police since past few days have arrested many drug peddlers as well as dealers in parts of district who were involved for spreading drug virus among young generation.
