Sopore, 16 Aug (GNS): Following the arrest of fake doctor in North Kashmir’s Pattan last month, the health departmental officials conducted raids on clinics and medical shops and sealed many illegal clinics at several locations in North Kashmir’s Sopore Town on Thursday.
An official in health department told GNS that a team of health department headed by Chief Medical Officer Baramulla Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo, BMO Sopore Mohammad Sami sealed eight clinics in Sopore town on Thursday after they failed to furnish requisite documents to the raiding team.
Official added that those establishments were running by unregistered and untrained persons. He said that action under law will be initiated against the owners of these clinics.
The raids were jointly conducted by health department officials in coordination with police and drug controller department.
Pertinently 60 illegal and unregistered clinics were sealed in Pattan area last month.(GNS)
