Aspirants who appeared in walk-in-interview at SKIMS allege ‘misconduct’

Date:

Say blue-eyed persons appointed for the posts, will knock doors of court to seek justice, re-interview for the posts

Srinagar, Jan 18 : The aspirants who had applied for the posts advertised by the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) here alleged that the interview of the posts was conducted secretly where some ‘blue-eyed’ persons have appointed for the post.

According to the wire service— candidates said that the authorities in SKIMS had issued an advertisement in December, 2019, wherein it stated that SKIMS is conducting walk-in-interviews for the posts of Senior Residency and Junior Residency on 26 Dec, 2019 at 11:00 am sharp in the SKIMS board room.

The aspirants said that the advertisement mentioned that the interview for the posts of senior residency shall be conducted in departments including Critical Care, Medicine and Allied Specialties, Surgery and Allied Specialties, BT& IH, Nuclear Medicine and Hospital Administration. Purely on need basis.

However, the aspirants alleged that some of the candidates appointed who were from Micro biology departments have been appointed for the post, which is purely against the notice and norms.

They said that the officials concerned by appointing candidates from other departments have pushed the deserving candidates at bay and have appointed blue-eyed persons for the posts, putting a question mark over the conduct of interview.

The candidates further stated that they will knock the doors of court here to seek re-interview for the posts. “At least 10 candidates here have decided to knock the doors of court to seek justice,” candidates said, adding that the interview should be conducted again and blue-eyed persons be kept at bay so that a deserving candidate will be appointed for the posts. (KNO)
