Teams of doctors visit over 1000 households in Hajin


Hajin, Mar 26, :  Over 60 people who were suspected of being in contact with Covid-19 patient who died in Srinagar on Thursday morning were quarantined at two different places in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.


Medical Officer Hajin, Dr Nisar Ahmed told news agency that 45 family members of four Covid-19 patients who were tested positive yesterday were quarantined at one place of the district while 17 other people were kept in isolation at another place. He said that three suspected patients were shifted to SKIMS Srinagar.


Dr Nisar said that 65 people including the family members of these patients were identified and quarantined. He said that various teams of doctors conducted door-to-door inquiry about the locals in and around the Hajin area, which is the native town  of 4 Covid-19 patients tested positive for Coronavirus infection yesterday.


The team of doctors visited over 100 households and collected details about the inmates. The team has identified over 100 people who have come into contacted with the infected Coronavirus patients.

“These all persons will be screened and quarantined,” Dr Nisar said.


 There were total 10 positive cases in Kashmir at while one patient after testing positive has already died. Thirty-eight reports are still awaited while one patient has already recovered. 379 samples have been collects while out of them 341 were tested negative. (KNT)
