Boy drowns in Power canal in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, August 25: A 14-year-old boy drowned in a power canal in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday evening.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a 14-year-old boy identified as Asif Ahmad Kasana son of Mohammad Lateef Kasana of Hariganiwan drowned in a power canal while bathing with other friends.

Soon after the incident police rushed to the spot and started rescue operation to retrieve the body.

A police officer also confirmed this incident to Kashmir Despatch said, efforts are on to retrieve the body.
