Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) module in Hazratbal area of Kashmir’s capital city Srinagar who were behind the terror attacks in the city.
Police in a statement said that after the grenade attack which took place near Hebbak in which two civilians were injured afollowing which a police team swung into action and arrested two suspected who identified as Umar Hameed and Aijaz Ahmed Shiekh both residents of Hazatbal Srinagar.
Statement reads that during the cources of investigation more raids were conducted and three more militant associates were arrested who on sustained investigation revealed their roles in November attack as well. The other three OGW’S identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed Chikla , alais Imran, resident of Hazatbal, Sahil Farooq Gojri, of Soura, Naseer Ahmed Mir of Hazatbal Srinagar.
Investigation indicated that they were active cadre of JeM militant outfit.
Based on their involvement a huge recovery of incriminating material were recovered from them.
More investigation is on to unearth further module and conspiracy police statement further reads.
