Baramulla, Nov 22: Javid Hassan Beigh Apni Party Spokesperson on Sunday said that former deputy chief minister Muzaffar Beigh would have thought deeply before leaving Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) last week.

Muzaffar Beigh, a co-founder of Peoples Democratic Party quit the party last week, conveying his decision to PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti via telephone. Reportedly, Beigh had quit the party over differences over seat-sharing arrangements in the upcoming District Development Council (DDC) elections.

Talking to Kashmir Despatch, Javid Hassan Beigh, nephew of Muzaffar Hussain Beigh said, “Muzaffar Beigh is an experienced politician and his decision of quitting the PDP is his personal decision. He would have thought about leaving the party wisely and Muzaffar Beigh is the right person to answer all these queries.”

Asked about the decision of Safeena Beigh fighting the election as an independent candidate in DDC elections, Javaid Beigh said, “It is all about PDP and Safeena Beigh and I belong to different party and it is their strategy”.

He added, “There are family dominated political parties here in the valley, which includes National Conference, PDP and ANC. If you look at them they are led by dynasities and nothing else and anyone who would dare to talk about it is being expelled”.
