Srinagar, July 30:Gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Kutto area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anatnag District on Tuesday.
Reports said that a joint team of Army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Kutto area.
A senior Police officer said that while the cordon was being laid the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering an encounter.
As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
Till this report was being filed intermittent firing was going on.(GNS)
