Sopore, Mar 07 : The Motor Vehicles Department in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday blacklisted around ten vehicles for violating traffic rules. It also issued suspension notices to two vehicles whose documents were also retained.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a checking drive was launched by the team of the Motor Vehicles Department Baramulla at Chinar Crossing Warpora in Sopore.
He said that during the drive, at least ten vehicles were identified by the checking squad and were blacklisted on the spot. “Documents of some vehicles were retained. Suspension notices were also served to two vehicles,” he said.
Inspector Suhail Zamzam told KNO that the basic purpose of such drives is to avoid daily accidents which happened due to traffic violations
He said the expected fine for blacklisted vehicles is approximately 20,000 rupees.
