14 more die in 24 hrs, JK toll 366

Srinagar, July 30 : Fourteen more persons died of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours taking the death toll in J&K to 366, officials said.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that Jammu and Kashmir recorded 14 deaths of Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours.

Officials said 14 people who have succumbed to the disease including  a 75-year-old woman from Shivpora Srinagar, a 72-year-old man from Batamallo Srinagar, a 55-year-old CRPF man of 198 battalion, a 66-year-old woman from Keegam Shopian, a 55-year-old man from Humhama Budgam, a 70-year old lady woman from Delina Baramulla, a 75-year-old male from Kreeri Baramulla, a 75-year-old man from Maldera Shopian, a 52-year-old woman from Ashajipora Anantnag, a 64-year-old man from Hajin Bandipora and a 60-year-old man Nawa Kadal Srinagar.

As per official on Thursday evening two more Shopian residents became victim of this virus while one COVID death was reported from Jammu Division.

The Kashmir valley, is witnessing an increase in the daily death toll. As many as 340 persons have died sofar due to this virus.

The overall toll in the union territory stands now at 366 including 340 from Kashmir division and 26 from Jammu division.

Moreover, 520 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 189 from Jammu Division and 331 from Kashmir Division, while active cases in the UT stand at 7662 and 11842 have recovered sofar from this deadly virus.
