Sopore, April 30: Acting tough against the violators of Government prohibitory orders, Police in north Kashmir’s Sopore on Thursday seized 15 vehicles for defying Govt. orders.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said In a bid to discourage those who violate rules of social distancing and flout government orders, police laid a Naka and intercepted a number of vehicles, who were found plying without prerequisite documents and were seized.

A police officer told Kashmir Despatch that amid the lockdown some people were roaming unnecessarily in the town. “So after witnessing it, we laid a Naka headed by SSP Sopore Javeed Iqbal and seized fifteen vehicles”. He said such surprise checking points are laid on a regular basis in the town to take action against violators.
