Srinagar, Jan 6 : A 19-member Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industry, accompanied by six officers, arrived in Srinagar on Saturday to assess industry-related matters in Jammu and Kashmir.
An official said that the delegation is led by Chairman Shri Tiruchi Siva, a senior Parliamentarian.
The committee members are staying at Hotel Taj Vivanta and are scheduled to hold deliberations with local stakeholders, officials, and industry representatives.
The visit aims to understand the challenges faced by industries in Jammu and Kashmir and explore avenues for their growth and development.
The official said that detailed discussions are expected to address critical issues like infrastructure, investment opportunities, and employment generation in Jammu and Kashmir. (KDC)
