The consumers in Srinagar will get an extra 2 kg quota of sugar per family during the holy month of Ramadan, which begins next week.
Minister for CA&PD and Tribal Affairs Ch. Zulfkar Ali on Monday instructed the concerned authorities for ensuring supply and distribution of ration to the consumers well in time. “No consumer should face any inconvenience while getting ration at his sale outlet during the holy month of Ramadan,” Zulfkar said.
The Minister reviewed overall stock and supply position of essential commodities in the state. He also directed the DC Srinagar for constituting special squads to ensure proper monitoring and disbursement of ration from sale outlets so that rationees could get ration in time. He further asked the concerned to ensure distribution of ration before June 15.
